Your Dream Team
A Dream Team is based on Napoleon Hill’s (Think and Grow Rich) idea of Master Mind groups. Hill was given a task by Andrew Carnegie (then the wealthiest man in North America) to interview the successful people of the day to discover and chronicle what they had in common. And that was…
no successful person does it alone
All of the people Hill interviewed had surrounded themselves with a group of people who advised, challenged, educated, inspired, motivated and encouraged them every step of the way.
Hill called these advisors a Master Mind group and defined them as the:
Coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.
Hill also writes about the psychic connection, what we today might call energy. He says, “No two minds ever come together without, thereby, creating a third, invisible, intangible force which may be likened to a third mind.”
When I read this I immediately thought how appropriate it was for energy workers! Does the name “master mind” work for you? It doesn’t work for me, but Dream Team does.
What makes a successful group?
- having complementary businesses and interest
- shared values
- safe and a non-judgmental atmosphere
- purpose
- guidelines
- mutual respect
“One plus one, doesn’t equal two. It becomes the power of eleven.”
Mark Victor Hansen.
So many of us are working alone, recreating the wheel when there is the potential for magic to happen when we come together as a dream team. We can raise energy levels and create the ‘third brain’ when each of us working together and combine our energy to make each member’s dream blossom.
And there are real tangible results, such as:
- give and get support and encouragement to move your business or project forward.
- helping you brainstorm solutions and action steps.
- accountability and motivation to take the next step.
- feedback and the opportunity to test out ideas before putting them into action.
- build supportive networks — be a part of something: spiritual midwives, birthing dreams!
- companionship and fun.
Who will be on your dream team?
